1922 ON THE SQUARE is proud to recognize one of our own. Will Cassady has been a line cook with us since our opening in March 2020. He is leaving us to join the United States Army. His basic training begins in August. We will miss him, but we are certain he will excel in his next endeavor. God bless America and God bless Will Cassady!!!
The “Baby Talk” column originated in the early 1970’s and was written by Angie Athan for his Natoma Restaurant. The column appeared on page 2 of the Newark Advocate early Saturday. Last week we received a copy of the Column from the early 1990’s. It was submitted by our friend Bill Jefferson. The column included a tribute to Bill’s Mother Doris Jefferson who was a Natoma chef more than 50 years ago. Doris baked the best pies anybody ever tasted and she was a wonderful lady.
