BABY TALK - October 7th, 2020
What a pleasure it is to look out the front window at 1922 ON THE SQUARE and see the renovated “Louis Sullivan Building.” The Sullivan Building sits at the corner of North Third and West Main on the Courthouse Square. It was built in 1914 and opened its doors on August, 25th 1915 as the “Home Building Association”. If you’re as old as the guy that writes this column, you might remember it as “Symon’s Best Jewelers” and much later as “Tiffany’s Ice Cream Parlour”. In 1973, it was added to the national register of historic places. It is soon to be a new home for “Explore Licking County”. We thank the “The Licking County Foundation” for making this possible.
Thanks to Director Kevin Patrick Allen who along with Steve Herbert have developed a documentary titled “A Good Man - The Jim Tyrer Story”. The Film will be aired at 7PM Thursday at the Midland Theatre. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at Eventbrite.com.
